After a long time of wishing, I am writing my first post — a reflection on living simply, creating authentically, and sharing beauty with the world.
There was a time when all this was only a dream: a quiet wish to live a more meaningful, art-filled life. I didn’t know that day would come on the afternoon of 24 September 2011.
The Art of Simple, Authentic Living
I am not spending time on a long introduction. "Getting to know" will come naturally for those who discover people the same way that I do. Wanting to live each moment teaches you to appreciate the time better, or - more precisely - to eliminate the element of time and just be in this moment. In a busy world, it is a suggestion that makes some people scream in anguish, but I assure you the time will not be wasted.
I like simplicity. In all our dimensions and layers, there is a beautifully simple truth, which doesn't take away but adds sophistication to the soul.
I like creating. I find that it enriches the spirit and holds it whole and pure. I owe gratitude to the almost countless people who have moved and inspired me, just by being true to themselves. I am sure I will be mentioning some and paying tribute to many. In fact, everything I do, including my life, is a tribute to them.
I welcome diversity. And nothing touches me deeper and affirms my faith more than meeting with a person from a completely different background who carries the same values as me. For this life is a gift most special, and sharing that feeling with the world is one of the most beautiful and powerful possibilities to have.
I can and I do get excited about clothes to wear and matching shoes. And hats and gloves, too. But that excites me for ten minutes a day. The same goes for everything that touches just the surface. I like to think and do things that impact the feelings; things that pull us in and get hold of that very centre of our being - things that change us and morph us into more complete, gentler, kinder, purer soul.

Come along, and I will show you what I mean, through everything that I am.
P.S. True today, fourteen years later, as it was on the day it was first written.
P.P.S. Simplicity, authenticity, and art have always guided my path — not as distant ideals, but as ways of living that remind us to stay present, grateful, and true. When we create, collect, or simply pause to notice beauty, we share something essential: the quiet art of being alive.
If this reflection resonates with you, I invite you to explore more of my work — the paintings, stories, and exhibitions that continue this conversation in colour and light.
